This houses Land Rover’s new Pivi Pro software, which not only supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but Amazon’s Alexa, too. The dashboard is covered by full-width air vents, and sitting in the centre of it all is a new 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For starters, you’ll spot a very modern steering wheel with a neat dual-spoke design, laden with touch-sensitive buttons. New Range Rover interior and infotainmentĪlthough the new Range Rover’s exterior looks fairly familiar in places, the interior is dramatically different. There are no visual exhaust pipes either - fake or otherwise – and a subtle roof-mounted spoiler neatly covers the rear windscreen wiper. Ultra-thin brake lights are connected by a bit of translucent trim stretching the width of the boot. The Range Rover sports a radical new look at the rear. Apparently, the latter are no heavier than the old car’s 22-inch alloys. You’ll get 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, with the option of colossal 23-inch wheels. There’s a short- and long-wheelbase version of the Range Rover, but visually speaking they’re pretty similar - albeit with a noticeably longer rear door on the long-wheelbase models (shown above.) See that bit of silver trim ahead of the front door? You may be thinking it’s there to be functional, right? Well no, it’s just tacked on to fill a visual gap between the door and wheel arch.

It is also fitted with a 1600-watt Meridian Signature Sound System. For rear occupants, the SUV gets a pair of 11.4-inch touchscreen tablets. It is also fitted with an all-new digital instrument console. This system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Inside the cabin, the SUV comes with a newly designed 13.1-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system that supports latest Pivi Pro System. It retains the split tailgate and a floating roof. The new model comes with sharper LED headlamps and new LED tail-lights. The new model retains model of its styling however, it gets a few cosmetic updates. The 2022 Range Rover is developed on the new MLA-Flex platform. This system uses eHorizon Navigation data to read the road ahead of prime the suspension and a new Tailgate Event Suite. The SUV comes equipped with all-wheel-drive layout with Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 system, electronic air suspension and dynamic response pro. The top-spec twin-turbo V8 engine is capable of producing 530bhp of power and 750Nm of torque.Īn 8-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox is offered as standard. The 3.0L V6 is capable of producing 400bhp of power and 550Nm of torque, while the 6-cylinder diesel produces 350bhp and 700Nm of torque.
The new Range Rover is available with 3 engine options – a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol, a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel and the BMW-sourced 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol. The long-wheelbase versions of the First Year Editions are also available with the optional third-row seats. Deliveries for the SUV’s PHEV model is likely to begin at a later stage. Interestingly, Land Rover India has also mentioned the prices of the Range Rover PHEV version on its website.
